WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

The American Legion Post 452, located on Legion Road in New Alsace, Indiana, is a small area Post with membership of 128. Our meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month.

Mission and History

Post 452 was chartered in 1946. The first meeting was held in August, with new Commander of the Post, Floyd Hornbach, presiding.

The purpose of Post 452 is to support and assist our area Service Members and Veterans. We strive to be active participants in the surrounding community and to be of service to those who need our help. We provide a community meeting center for area residents, and we are involved in sponsoring various youth programs.

  • Boy Scout Troop
  • Girl Scouts
  • Senior Citizens
  • New Alsace Conservation Club
  • Hall Rental for weddings celebrations, family events, class reunions, special fund raising benefits, etc.

We do not operate as a private club or as a bar that is open to the public. However, we do have a bar area for weddings and hall rentals.

Monthly Euchre tournaments are also scheduled through the year. Other activities such as dances and fund raisers are being planned for the upcoming year.
